Villa La Marquesa is a charming country house not far from the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, just 18 km away, in the heart of the island, where there are beautiful mountains and stunning landscapes. It is situated within an estate owned by the same family for two centuries. Within the 5000 m² property, there are two houses.
The main house, where the owners live, is an old manor house built in the early 18th century. The smaller house is from the 1950s: a 110 square meter home framed by the garden that surrounds both houses. This country house is available for rent all year round.
The house itself has a private garden with beautiful roses and other endemic plants from the Canary Islands, as well as an orchard with fruit trees. Near the house, there is a modern-design pool, 22 meters long. Next to the pool, there is a stone sculpture by the German artist Ulrich Ruckriem.
The house has two bedrooms with adjacent bathrooms (one of them en suite). There is a living room, dining room, and kitchen. Next to the house, there is a patio where you can sit to sunbathe or have lunch. The decoration is very elegant, with modern and antique furniture. All paintings and prints are originals. In front of the house extends a 50,000 square meter estate and garden, offering plenty of peace and tranquility, the perfect place for a relaxing vacation.
Near the garden, there is a large parking area from where you can view a protea plantation, which are exotic plants brought from South Africa and now cultivated here. There is a private entrance for guests and their car, allowing guests and owners to maintain their privacy.
The rest of the estate is a beautiful plantation of flowers, shrubs, orange trees, lemon trees, and a wide path flanked by the spectacular blue color of the Agapanthus. In the garden, you can see two huge Araucaria trees over 150 years old. These trees were planted in front of the manor house to provide shade, as it was a summer house for more than a century. From the estate, you can walk to many nearby places through paths and trails that will take you to different and interesting spots surrounding the property.
A deposit of 150 Euros is required when renting this property, which will be returned on the last day of the stay.
